Sallie & Joe’s Winter Wedding

This past Friday I had the pleasure of creating a cake and cupcakes for Sallie and Joe’s wedding. They were married and had their reception at my favorite venue, Moonstone Manor (formerly Conewago Manor). Usually wedding receptions there take place under their beautiful tent, but Sallie and Joe had an intimate ceremony and reception in the gorgeous manor.
The lovely invitation set the tone for the wedding and reception.
Sallie decided to have a small wedding cake and cupcakes for their guest.
The cupcake flavors included Nutty Monkey (banana cupcake filled with chocolate ganache and topped with peanut butter buttercream frosting) and a chocolate cupcake topped with caramel buttercream frosting.
The cake included sugar gardenias and the flavor was white cake with chocolate ganache and peanut butter buttercream fillings.
The florals, event design and catering were provided by Weddings by JDK. Everything looked just stunning.

Instead of placecards, Sallie made these adorable stir sticks which were placed in champagne glasses.
Congratulations Sallie and Joe on your new life together!

Jacque & Dan’s Fun Summer Wedding

Jacque and Dan had their wedding and reception at the beautiful Colonial Country Club. The decor of the reception was just fun. Bright pink and orange accents with pink uplighting created a festive and beautiful reception room. I had a blast creating a sweets table including cupcakes and wedding cake for the guests.

The wedding cake was chocolate cake with Oreo buttercream filling and white cake with strawberry buttercream filling. The cake design included a swirl design that was part of their invitation design.

I love the special sign that Persnickety Invitation Studio created for the sweets table.

Sweets included marshmallow pops, Hershey kisses, Whirley pops, rock candy, pink gummi pigs, orange slices and more. I also created the tags that incorporated their wedding invitation design.

The cupcake flavors included red velvet with cream cheese frosting and carrot cake with cream cheese frosting.

It was such a fun sweets table to design for an amazing couple.

Congratulations to Jacque and Dan.

Texas Style Holiday Party

Today a friend of mine hosted her annual holiday party and the theme was a Texas style holiday.

I found some adorable western theme stickers at Michael’s which were a nice addition to the cupcake display.

The cupcake flavors were chocolate Oreo, Chocobutter, vanilla cupcake with raspberry buttercream frosting and Lemon Drop.

Texas stars decorated each cupcake.

What a nice start to the holiday season!

Eric & Nicole’s Wedding at Riverdale Manor

Eric and Nicole were married this evening at the Riverdale Manor. I loved working with this couple so much. The theme of the wedding was Paris. They wanted the Eiffel Tower incorporated in the cake design so I decided to paint the tower resembling the illustration on their invitations.

In addition to the cake, I also made cupcakes for the guests. The cake flavors were chocolate cake with peanut butter buttercream filling and vanilla cake with raspberry buttercream filling. The cupcake were also in the same flavors with the addition of red velvet with honey cream cheese frosting.

I used all my Martha Stewart square cake stands for the presentation. I love them! I also found some square plates with the Eiffel Tower illustrated on them.

The wedding accent colors were purple and kelly green. A very popular combination this wedding season. Very pretty!

The florals were stunning. They were designed by Blue Heron Florists in Lebanon.

French lemonade favors. Perfect for the theme.

Georgeous linens from Special Occasions.

I designed and set up the candy bar which was going to be move to another location.

Gummi frogs…yum.

I can’t wait to see the photos that Cyndi and Claudine were shooting from Klose Photography.

Congrats to Eric and Nicole…you are an amazing couple!

500+ cupcakes at the Hershey Lodge

Today was my single largest cupcake order to date. The Unico National group held a sports themed luncheon at the Hershey Lodge. 530 cupcakes on 53 tables along with a custom cupcake stand centerpiece for each table.

Mini sports pennants were on each cupcake stand.

Chocolate baseballs and footballs were placed on each cupcake.

The tables looked wonderful. A special thanks to Annie and Ira and his staff for helping me set everything up.

These amazing photos were taken by the very talented Thomas Beaman.

Allison Heyden Runway Show & Carmina Cristina Debut

This past Friday night was the Allison Heyden runway show and debut of Make-up artist Carmina Cristina. Allison was recently featured in an article in the Patriot News and premiered her new collection at Level 2 in Harrisburg. She currently lives in New York City and has been featured in Teen Vogue, CNN and more. I was so excited when I was invited by Carmina to participate in the show. Allison’s first collection was inspired by cupcakes, so it was perfect to do a designer cupcake display for her show. If you haven’t been to Level 2, I felt like I was in Los Angeles or New York City…very nice! Be sure to check out Allison and Carmina’s website to see their amazing work. The fantastic hair design was done by the staff at Outlooks for Hair in Harrisburg.

Mini cupcake display with coordinating decorations to tie in with Allison Heyden’s dress collection.

I took fabric samples she gave me and I displayed then in tall cylinder jars with her logo.

Allison Heyden...talented and adorable!

Carmina Cristina on the left did the couture feather lashes and make-up design. She has done make-up for New York Couture Week and lives here in Harrisburg. She does amazing bridal make-up and is so creative and talented. Be sure to check out her website.

Here are just a few of my favorite dresses and make-up.

Maggie’s Enchanted Princess Party

I had so much fun designing a dessert table and cake for this over-the-top party hosted by Gaggles N Giggles. It was a princess party for Maggie who turned 5 at the Bent Creek Country Club in Lititz. In addition to the dessert table there was a candy bar, tea party, dress up area, horse drawn carriage ride and more. I’ll post more photos when I get the professional shots from the photographer. The dessert table included a pillow cake with slipper, chocolate dipped pretzel rods, chocolate dipped marshmallows, party mix, meringue cookies, crown and shoe cookies, cupcakes and designer soda. This would be great for a shower or wedding too!

Sam’s Graduation Cupcake Tower

This is a cupcake tower I did for a party last Saturday for Sam who graduated from Red Land High. She is an incredibly bright girl who will be attending NYU. She wanted to have the school color purple as her main color. Various shades of purple circles decorated each cupcake and the cake topper included the school logo. The cupcake flavors were nutty monkey, chocolate chocolate, chocolate oreo and vanilla vanilla.
