Beth’s Birthday Cake

This is a cupcake and cake creation I made for my friend Beth’s birthday. Her lovely mother surprised her with a luncheon with a group of friends at the Rock Bass Grill. It was very nice. I have been wanting to try our my new dogwood flower cutter and I really loved the colors together.

Winter Graduation Cake

Well, this past Saturday there was a major snow storm here. I think it snowed about 7 inches. I had a graduation cake for a party that day as well. With the major snow, I decided to put some snowflakes on the cake to commemorate the biggest snow of the year! The buttercream covered cake was carrot cake with honey cream cheese filling.

Non cake related…here are the boys in the snow that day. They also they went snowmobiling on the streets in our neighborhood!

Rock’n Christmas Baby Shower

I had so much fun designing this dessert table for a baby shower recently. The theme centered around rocking horses and Christmas, so I created rocking horse tags as accents on the glass vases and jars. For this shower I made rocking horse cookies, brownie pops dipped in chocolate, chocolate dipped pretzel rods, marshmallow pops dipped in chocolate and crushed peppermint and an assortment of cupcakes with onesies and snowflake decorations. The shower was Rock’n!

Erin & Mark’s Winter Wedding

I have been working with Erin (the bride) on her wedding all year and the big event was last night at the West Shore Country Club. The winter theme incorporate a beautiful silver blue and chocolate brown for the colors and decorations included dangling crystals, snow and ornaments. The gorgeous centerpieces were designed by Blooms By Vickrey and the table and chair linens were provided by Balloons & More. Remarkably, there was a beautiful snowfall that afternoon just in time for the wedding. For this wedding I used my design background to create her programs and table numbers as well as the candy bar, wedding cake and cupcake tower displays. I loved all of it! The cake was 4-tiers covered with crystal sugar, chocolate fondant ribbon and crystal broaches for accents. The cake flavor was white cake with strawberry buttercream filling. The cupcake tower included chocolate chocolate cupcakes, vanilla vanilla, red velvet and carrot cake, both topped with honey cream cheese frosting. Best wishes Erin & Mark.

Here’s what Erin had to say:
I just wanted to tell you that everything you did for my wedding was WONDERFUL! People were raving! People couldn’t even wait and didn’t even wait to eat the cupcakes until after we had our cake! My mom just told me that my aunt had all four flavors and she just loved them! I haven’t had any cupcakes yet, but our wedding cake was AMAZING! I loved it! It looked and tasted awesome. Your work was nothing less than perfect!
