Happy Halloween! Haunted house cake…

This is a cake I designed for a private Halloween party tonight. The catering and event design will be provided by The JDK Group, so I’m sure it will be spooktacular. The request was for a haunted house and I got my inspiration from one of my favorite cake artists Andrea Sullivan from Canada. Of course I added my own little touches and probably spent way too much time decorating the cake only because I was having too much fun!

Flying bats, ghosts, and spider were on the top tier of the 2 tier cake.

The cake flavors were chocolate cake with peanut butter buttercream filling and vanilla cake with caramel buttercream filling.

It was so fun working on the details.

A little graveyard cake was also part of the display.

I’m sure it will be a frightfully delightful party!

Eric & Nicole’s Wedding at Riverdale Manor

Eric and Nicole were married this evening at the Riverdale Manor. I loved working with this couple so much. The theme of the wedding was Paris. They wanted the Eiffel Tower incorporated in the cake design so I decided to paint the tower resembling the illustration on their invitations.

In addition to the cake, I also made cupcakes for the guests. The cake flavors were chocolate cake with peanut butter buttercream filling and vanilla cake with raspberry buttercream filling. The cupcake were also in the same flavors with the addition of red velvet with honey cream cheese frosting.

I used all my Martha Stewart square cake stands for the presentation. I love them! I also found some square plates with the Eiffel Tower illustrated on them.

The wedding accent colors were purple and kelly green. A very popular combination this wedding season. Very pretty!

The florals were stunning. They were designed by Blue Heron Florists in Lebanon.

French lemonade favors. Perfect for the theme.

Georgeous linens from Special Occasions.

I designed and set up the candy bar which was going to be move to another location.

Gummi frogs…yum.

I can’t wait to see the photos that Cyndi and Claudine were shooting from Klose Photography.

Congrats to Eric and Nicole…you are an amazing couple!

Humidor Groom’s Cake

Part of one of today’s wedding was this humidor groom’s cake. Amanda’s request was to incorporate her husband to be’s favorite sports teams and their momogram.

I decided to wrap each fondant cigars with an edible label of the team logos.

Their monogram was on the inside of the box lid. The cake flavor was red velvet cake with vanilla buttercream filling.

24 karat edible gold accents were on the box too.

Girly Zebra Cake

I just had to share this cake I did for Stacie at Polished Day Spa. She hosted a spa birthday party for her niece. In addition to the cake I made coordinating cupcakes and custom water bottles for the party. It’s the perfect place for a bachelorette party or just a day of pampering.

This photo is of the cake pre-black feather on top 🙂

I love this cake stand.

Chrissy and Matthew’s Tiffany Blue & Brown Wedding Cake

Chrissy and Matthew were married this Saturday at the Hershey Lodge. The wedding colors were Tiffany blue and brown. This cake was inspired by a cake in Elissa Strauss’s Confetti Cakes book. When I walked in the reception room, it was stunning. Dark brown Chiavari chairs with Tiffany blue cushions. So pretty!

The cake flavor was dark chocolate with Oreo buttercream filling.

Beautiful centerpieces.

A huge candy table display was created by Catering Events Manager Ira Task. It was pretty amazing!

More candy!

And more candy!

Congratulations Chrissy and Matthew!

Stephanie & Zachary’s Mongram Cakes

When I met with Stephanie last year she had a vision of what she wanted for her cake. Not your traditional round or square cake, but their monogram made out of cake with the beautiful logo she designed for her invitations and accompanying wedding pieces.

I decided it would look really nice with the cakes elevated off the table and river rocks which were part of the reception decor placed around the cake.

The wedding and reception took place this past Saturday at the Colonial Country Club in Harrisburg.

I love the swirls Stephanie designed. Additional cake for the guests included red velvet with cream cheese filling, marble cake with Oreo filling and chocolate cake with peanut butter filling.

It was a beautiful day and amazing reception. Congratulations to Stephanie and Zachary. I wish you the very best!

Jen & Brian’s Wedding at Letort View

Jen and Brian were married last Sunday at Letort View in Carlisle. The 200 fall theme cupcake display was made extra special with the custom clay cake topper Jen ordered on Etsy. Just adorable.

A special thanks to Thomas Beaman who photographed the wedding and took these beautiful photos.

Jen and Brian are an amazing couple and I wish them the very best!

Kelly & Ryan’s Wedding at Lauxmont Farms

Last Saturday Kelly & Ryan were married and had their reception at Lauxmont Farms in Wrightville. The ceremony took place in the lovely stone courtyard and the reception was in the adjoining barn.

The cupcake flavors included white cake with strawberry buttercream frosting, chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream frosting and red velvet cake with honey cream cheese frosting.

Daisies in purple, orange and pink topped the cupcakes.

The catering, linens and wedding design were provided by the wonderful team at C&J Catering in Harrisburg. The deep purple linens were so pretty.

Individual candy apple favors were placed at each place setting.

The table designs looked so nice. Simple and elegant.

Congratulations Kelly & Ryan!

Abigail & Joshua’s wedding at The Hershey Lodge

Abigail and Joshua had their reception at The Hershey Lodge this past Saturday. The cake was a buttercream covered cake with red sugar roses. The cake flavors were red velvet with raspberry buttercream filling, marble cake with chocolate buttercream filling and carrot cake with honey cream cheese filling.

Here’s a photo of the cake with the monogram topper and on the cake plateau at the Lodge. Sorry for the bad photo.

Congratulations Abigail and Joshua!
