Kim & Mike’s Fall Wedding in Strasburg

Kim and Mike were married on the most beautiful fall day in Lancaster. These wonderful photos were shot by the super talented team of Matt & Nat. The cupcake tower I created was topped with adorable fondant owls Kim made. She’s a very talented baker and cake pop artist.

Each of the cupcakes had a fall leaf of them.

The cupcake flavors were Cafe Mocha, Vanilla Vanilla, Red Velvet and Chocolate Chocolate.

The florals were so beautiful. The tall jars with mini pumpkins and tall greenery and flowers. Kim is from Philadelphia and her friend who is a floral designer created the arrangements. The reception was held at the Fireside Tavern in Strasburg.

Here are Kim and Mike at the Strasburg railroad. There are more amazing shots on Matt & Nat’s blog post on the wedding. Click here to visit their site.

Congrats Kim & Mike!

Opening Day of Deer Hunting Season Birthday Cake

Monday was the opening day of deer hunting season here in Pennsylvania. The kids are off school, which is just odd to me. I made this cake for my son’s preschool teacher’s father for his birthday.

There is an arrow coming out of the side of the deer 🙂 The cake flavor was chocolate cake with Oreo filling and peanut butter buttercream frosting.

Twin’s Brown & Blue Baby Shower

Today, I had the honor of creating a dessert table for a baby shower. The mom to be is on bed rest at the hospital, so the shower was actually held in a private dining room at the hospital.

The theme was onesies, so I made a banner out of onesies and clipped each one to a ribbon with mini clothes pins.

The cake topper was spice cake with caramel buttercream filling.

The cupcake flavors were Nutty Monkey and Chocolate Chocolate.

Each of the cupcakes had a mini edible onesie on them.

Gorgeous custom milk chocolate dipped Oreos where created by Sweeties by Kim.

Each of the jars had a custom tag I created. In addition to Hershey Kisses, there were also blue and white shark gummies, blue M&Ms, yogurt covered peanuts, malted milk balls, chocolate dipped pretzel sticks, kettle corn, and caramel corn.

The adorable onesie cookies were made by Edible Art by Kim. They were so cute!

The mom to be’s mother organized an amazing shower for her daughter. I wish her the very best!

Stacked Books Cake

This was a cake I created for a conference at the Hershey Lodge this weekend. The conference was on education curriculum so stacked books seemed like the perfect design. The theme was “Learning is Forever” which I included on the spine of one of the books and their logo was on the top tier. Each book was a cake.

The cake flavors were chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream filling and vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream filling.

Denise and Adam’s Wedding at he Hotel Hershey

Yesterday I had the honor of creating this wedding cake for Denise and Adam. Their reception was held at the beautiful Hotel Hershey.

The design was inspired by a photo Denise loved. Swarovski crystals were on the deep purple bands along with sugar orchids.

The cake flavors were white cake with almond buttercream filling and white cake with lemon buttercream filling.

Klose Photography was shooting the wedding and I can’t wait to see their photos. There was a special surprise on the cake that I didn’t take a photo of. You’ll see it when the Cyndi Klose posts photos her blog 🙂

It was so much fun working with Denise. I wish them the very best in their new lives together.

Susan & Patrick’s Wedding

Susan and Patrick were married last Friday and had their reception at the Radisson Penn Harris in Camp Hill. It just so happened that one of my favorite photographers, Jen Baltgalvis was shooting the wedding so I wanted to wait until I got her photos to do this blog post. They are just beautiful.

Susan and Patrick wanted a monogram on the cake topper, so I embossed it on fondant. Fresh flowers were placed on the cake topper too.

The cupcake flavors were Vanilla Vanilla, 24 Carrot and Chocobutter.

The square cupcake tower looked so pretty. The wedding colors were a beautiful plum and green.

The florals were just gorgeous. They were created by Queen Bee Floral Design in Harrisburg. (I took the flower photos.)

The JDK Group had set up a cool lounge area which included special lighting effects. Very nice!

Congratulations to an amazing couple. They are going to Japan for their honeymoon next summer. How cool is that!

Sweets table for Polished Day Spa open house

Yesterday I had a blast putting together a sweets table for Polished Day Spa’s open house which you can attend today too! Free chair massages, hand treatments and more. Definitely the best place for papering yourself!

The spa has been redesigned and super posh now. Zebra, black and hot pink decor.

The wallpaper was the perfect backdrop for the table design.

An assortments of pink, black and white candy.

Just one of the lounge areas.

Mini cupcakes were also part the the yummy goodies.
