Tiffany Themed Bridal Shower

I had so much fun designing this cupcake display for a Tiffany themed bridal shower today at The Country Club of Harrisburg. The 40 cupcakes were displayed on a tiered display I created with a Tiffany box cake on top. I decorated each cupcake with bows and flowers with silver dragee centers. The cupcake flavors were lemon drop, red velvet and 24 carrot. I also created an inspiration board with the Tiffany blue theme on my wedding blog…click here to view.

Shyanne’s Birthday Cake

This weekend I had an awesome time making this cake. The client wanted all of her daughter’s favorite characters on the cake. The cake flavors were marble with vanilla buttercream filling and vanilla cake with chocolate buttercream filling.

Here’s what mom had to say.
“The cake was fabulous, Shyanne loved all the characters. Everyone at the party could not believe the detail you put into every inch of this cake and not only did it look great it tasted wonderful as well. The cake was so moist and the cream filling was a treat in itself. We made sure to show all our guest your brochure and we will definitely order from you again.”

Laura & Jesse’s Wedding

All I can say is wow. I created Laura and Jesse’s wedding cake this summer and just received the photos from the photographer Gordon Wenzel with Impressions Photographic Studio and Gallery. I had to share some of the incredible shots he took. Isn’t he great! I love how the cake turned out. I created all the tiger lilies out of sugar paste and painted them to look as realistic as possible. Thank you Gordon for sharing the photos.

Ashford Castle Cake

I had a request to make a cake of the Ashford Castle in Ireland. Last year a group of ladies went to the 5 star Ashford Castle hotel and were having a reunion party this past Saturday. It looks like a beautiful place. The cake was pretty big…it was dark chocolate cake with what else but Bailey’s Irish Cream buttercream filling. I had to make sure the filling tasted good and yes, it was very yummy 🙂

Wedding Cupcake Tower

This is a cupcake tower I did today for Tanya’s wedding. I LOVE how it turned out. Tanya’s colors were brown, ivory and terra cotta. She incorporated beautiful orange dendrobium orchids in her florals. The orchids on the cake topper are made out of sugar paste I painted them to resemble her flowers. She provided the monogram cake topper which looked fantastic and I will now recommend to all my brides. She had some crystal accents, so I put a few Swarovski crystals on the bow for a litte bling. The 150 cupcakes flavors were vanilla cake with strawberries & cream filling with vanilla frosting, chocolate cake filled with chocolate ganache and topped with chocolate mint frosting and white cake filled with fresh lemon curd and topped with vanilla frosting. It looked like it was going to be a great party…I wanted to stay and hear Cornell Corley-DJ Godfather put some serious dance music together!

Doggy Birthday Cake

This is a cake I made for Meredith’s birthday. My friend Jen who ordered the cake asked if I could incorporate her 2 labs and something with a dog theme. The buttercream covered cake was vanilla cake with raspberry buttercream filling.

Here’s what Jen had to say:
Jasmine, she LOVED it! It was delicious. Even my husband who is not a cake eater kept commenting about how wonderful the cake was. He loves your icing! Thank you so much for making this for us!! 🙂

On tap for this weekend is a wedding cupcake tower…birthday cupcake tower…a cake of a castle in Ireland and a baby shower cake! Wish me luck 🙂

Chrissy & Collin’s Wedding

Last Saturday I created a cupcake tower for Chrissy and Collin’s wedding reception. What a great couple and I have to thank Chrissy’s mom Denise who I met at a bridal show this year. The reception was at the Whispering Pines Banquet Hall in Carlisle. It’s new and very spacious and even has an outdoor area designed just for wedding ceremonies. The owner Betty is wonderful to work with. Chrissy is an art teacher and made the adorable cake topper. It looked just perfect. The cupcake flavors were vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream, vanilla cake with chocolate butttercream and dark chocolate cake with peanut butter buttercream.

Here’s what Chrissy’s mom had to say:
“Thank you so much for the delicious cupcakes. They were far above the typical wedding cake fare. Thanks again for helping to make Chrissy and Colin’s wedding so special.”

Princess Party Cake

This is a princess cake I created for a party hosted by Gaggles n Giggles. You have to take a look at the website. Rasheeda Martin is the owner and she creates incredible upscale parties for children. Everything from princess, rock star to full spa parties. She will come to your home, coordinate and set everything up so you don’t have to do a thing. Pretty awesome!

Wedding Inspiration Board

The hot thing in wedding design right now are inspiration boards. They are designed to bring inspiration based on colors and themes. I’ve created one today based on a wedding cake I did recently. It’s really fun finding great ideas from various web sites.
